DNETCOM(review3)

Week of the days that the subject are becoming harder and harder. We used Cisco Pocket Tracer again to create a connection between a PC, switch server and a router. Knowing that the router and the server has its own individual password to access it. It took time for me to go to that point because I was not able to connect the IP of the router to the PC and the PC to the server. We also learned about the different types of ports for each sources. I was able to catch up to the lesson by looking at what my team mates were doing. I think I should at least review this port numbers because its giving me a hard time remembering it.

DNETCOM(review2)

This week we learned about the Hub, Switch, Router and how to connect them and make them work using the Pocket tracer. We configured the router and IP so that the PC would be able to access to the server. Even the hard thing that gave me some trouble was to connect the PC to the Router giving it a specific data and try sending a letter. Our professor gave us some group examples giving us a specific amount of PC, Router, and Switch and giving more specification of IP address and password. We also learned how to make a website in the pocket tracer, and making the whole Device connected to the source of internet access it. This gave me the idea, at least of how the connecting is coming from our Router into our PC.
I am looking forward to the next coming topic of what e are going to learn about.

1st week(DNETCOM)

First day of class was about how DNETCOM is important in our course BSCS-SS. To tell the truth, I don't even think about why we do each and every subjects. Because, I thought it was just another subject for a programmer to pass just to know about the subject. But I get to notice in just the 2 meetings that this subject is the base for my daily life. It is there that I didn't even think of it that much. From the fault tolerance up to the QoS, security and other different kind of topology, my mind was half blown away by the difficulty of this subject and half accepting the knowledge of what i am learning. For there are some things that I personally know about the networking but don't know about how it was made and how it works as a data. This made me give the interest of researching about this subject and how it works.
I am now interested about how the network source is giving the devices a specific amount of data and speed so that when I am at my house, i can fix the problem or improve my internet whenever I need to.
